Craft brewing has exploded over the last ten years in Vancouver, and East Vancouver has become a hot spot for these small, independent breweries, each offering a variety of options for beer lovers. This bicycle based brewery tour features some of our favourite stops, along with some places to grab coffee or food to fuel your journey. All tasting rooms allow children accompanied by an adult, and many have worked out deal with local food trucks, who will park outside and whose food can be brought inside. Kid-friendly, 'Augustine's' is our childrens' favourite neighbourhood restaurant. Try the poutine!

Small but always popular, Brassneck is our favourite stop before heading to a soccer game or into downtown with friends. Offering a great selection of beers, including some tasty Wit's and Porters, this brewery certainly tops our list.

While technically landing just outside of East Vancouver, we couldn’t leave this gem of a brewery out. O ffering not just beer but also nibbles, including wa ffles on the weekend, this establishment doesn't scream “craft brewery,” and is a nice change of scenery. Try their California Common for a tasty change from West Coast IPAs.

The first restaurant to grace Olympic Village, Tap and Barrel is always a popular stop. The glorious two level patio overlooks False Creek and downtown Vancouver, and is an ideal place to watch the sunset.
