A CENTURY PARTY

Megan and Kyle’s Joint 50th Birthday

Hello, beloved friends and family! We are hopeful that you can join us this summer for a celebration of our 50th birthdays, culminating on June 13th, our 22nd anniversary. We find ourselves at 50 pondering our past and our future, supremely grateful for the people who have made us what we are, and equally blessed for having people in our lives helping us to become the people that we want to be. If you’re seeing this, you are one of those people, and we would love the chance to show you our home. We’ve organized some fun activities, and have lodging recommendations as well. We hope to see you this June!

Lodging

Tucker Park Campground features the best white noise sleep and cold plunge swimming in the Hood River.

Apologies in advance, June is one of our favorite times in The Gorge, but it’s also everyone else’s, so lodging will be hard. Please reach out if you need help.

NOTE - if you stay in Washington, know that the Hood River Bridge has frequent construction.

camping

  • Tucker Park, $40/night - Photo above. 6 miles from downtown is our favorite campground in America. There are 10+ sites right on the Hood River with the best white noise you can imagine. It’s also our favorite place to swim, but it will be more of a cold plunge in June. The park is bikeable but very hilly and on streets with vehicles traveling 40+ mph. Reserve a spot

house rentals

  • 2 house rentals, $100-175 / night: we have secured two house rentals. Each place sleeps 3 in a queen and twin. Let us know if you want either. More details in Lodging Info below.

hotels

  • Lightwell Hotel, $273/night - 1904 hotel recently refubished in the most convenient location of downtown Hood River. Includes a spa basement with hot therapy (water and sauna) and roofdeck bar. Call (541) 436-4860 and ask for “Ramey group”.

Other favs, if you can get them

  • Best Western in Hood River - where I had my 40th birthday party. Includes a outdoor hot tub, pool and sauna is also a top 3 restaurant for us

  • Hip Camp on Wind River - in Washington but one of the coolest places to camp, featuring natural hot springs and an optional sauna

  • Society Hotel, $50-500/night - in Bingen, WA, includes their spa. Hostel single beds to 4-person cabins.
